If you suspect you have been scammed please call the authorities to report this. In the UK call the Police or specifically the ActionFraud Cyber Crime Reporting Centre on 0300 123 2040 or visit the ActionFraud website.
We also appreciate any fraud reports direct to us if you have been scammed. Please include any (or all) information you have including copies of any emails and communications, any invoices and your version of events / what happened.
We will only publish a website as a scam when we feel we have suitable proof of a scam as we are a voluntary organisation we will need good proof before we are happy to name and shame any specific person or website. We are unable to offer a cast iron guarantee of what will and won’t be reported here at this time.
If you are emailing us to ask ‘is this company legitimate or not’ – then we can confirm its very likley you are dealing with scammers. From emails sent into us, the vast majority are asking about a website that is a scam website. We cannot be very responsive to these requests and it may take us a long time to confirm that a website is as scam. If you have taken the time to email us then there is probably already doubt in your mind and this is probably a vey strong indicator that you are dealing with scammers.
